Shannette Buford-Brazzell
Here is my chance to brag about how great my Mentor is and all the great things she does for all the organizations she is involved with! Shanette is very goal driven and passionate about everything she does. It is a pleasure working with her for this mentorship assignment.

Shanette D. Buford-Brazzell is a young and upcoming professional event planning/management and community relations professional, who is enhancing her career in many ways. Shanette is a Special Events Manager for United Way of Greater Cleveland. In her position, she oversees the development, planning, and execution of all United Way special events such as the Annual Meeting, campaign kickoff, Hometown Huddle, leadership donor’s recognition events, and other ancillary events. She also oversees engagement opportunities for the organization and events and work to increase revenue from existing events through sponsorships.
She is passionate about giving back, making an impact in the community, youth lives, and spreading awareness about causes she is passionate about. Shanette is heavily involved in the community. She currently holds numerous volunteer leadership positions: Fundraising Committee Co-chair with Ronald McDonald House Cleveland Ambassador Council, member of Cleveland State University Alumni Association’s Young Alumni Council and Black Alumni Organization.
Shanette is an active member of The National Association of Black Sports Professionals – Cleveland Chapter, Women In Sports & Events-Cleveland Chapter, where she is a member of the Programming Committee, and a provisional member of Junior League Cleveland.
